SEKISUI 化学 CO.有限公司. (President: Keita Kato; hereinafter “SEKISUI 化学”) received a visit at one of its development centers on 9月tember 11 by State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Fusae Ota to exchange opinions on the film-type perovskite solar cells being developed by SEKISUI 化学.

  Following an overview of the solar cells, State Minister Ota toured the manufacturing facilities and exhibition space, and deepened her knowledge of SEKISUI 化学’s technologies. Joined by Katsunori Mukai, head of the SEKISUI 化学 R&D中心, the next hour was spent exchanging opinions on the development of film-type perovskite solar cells.

  State Minister Ota spoke of her expectations for the technology, “The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will provide solid support so that 日本 can lead the way in technology that originates in 日本.”

  SEKISUI 化学 achieved outdoor durability of 10 years equivalent ahead of the rest of the industry through an original “sealing, 膜的形成, materials and process technology,” creating a 30 cm-wide roll-to-roll manufacturing process. This manufacturing process has been successfully used to produce film-type perovskite solar cells with power generation efficiency of 15.0%.
